Waiting, and More 2 Go

2/12/2012 - The Lord's Day - Morning.  12 days until the Book Bomb – Greetings y’all.  We're pretty much in "wait" mode here for the time being.  It's snowing heavily here on the Lord's Day afternoon in Central Texas.  Stuff is starting to build up a little on the ground, but we'll see if there is any accumulation.  We need the moisture, but I hate snow.  The woodburner is nice and clickin' hot, and I'm nice and toasty here at the office.

The Book Bomb progress is going well.  We are excited to have the IndieGoGo launch money to spend on advertising, but we may not get the money until sometime between the 17th and 24th.  Hopefully not too late to help with the Book Bomb.  We're lining up ad spots and potential sites on which to run ads right now.  Reviews for The Last Pilgrims are starting to come in (they've been emailed, but not posted yet) and things are looking really good.  We may have a hit book on our hands.  We'll see how it goes.  This is that "unknown" time when things could go either way.  The early reviews are very, very good.

So, I was sitting here and thinking of what I could remind you to do.  Hopefully you've read the Book Bomb post and you are ready to go.  We've massively succeeded in a few things:

1.  We raised way more money than we asked for, which is nice.
2.  The YouTube trailers are rockin' and getting a lot of play.
3.  From my email and other communications, it seems like a lot of people are eager for the Book Bomb to get here.

Here is where we are failing miserably:

1.  Almost nobody is talking about it (buzz).  Some fantastic friend posted a few links on some forums and we got a ton of hits, but that was maybe one person.  We're getting few comments on facebook pages, and very few people sharing the videos, trailers, or website.  We really need some people to invade popular forums and blogs and help us talk up the book.  This worked great for Surviving Off Off-Grid, but this time its not happening much.  We've got 12 days to make TLP the talk of the town.

2.  If you are on Facebook or Twitter, all you have to do is SHARE any or all of the links.  So few people are doing this.

3.  I need more bloggers who want to read and review the book.

Alright y'all.  That's where we stand.  The flurries are swirling through the gray Central Texas sky.  Surely that portends well?

Your servant in Christ Jesus,

Michael Bunker

Dear Bunkers,

I really enjoyed your book SOOG and look forward to reading the latest TLP. I have a fairly new blog but I would be glad to do a review and post my response on my blog if you would like. Let me know.

In FAITH,
Brittany P.

I will drop a few notes about it at my sufficient living forum.
We would also be willing to do a review if you would like.

I should have mentioned, we just moved our entire blog format, so its down right now for various reasons.
I understand if this means we cannot help with the review.

We did spread the word on FB and the forum I frequent though.
