The Last Pilgrims: Why You Should Care

2/3/2012 - 6th Day - Morning.  Preparation of the Sabbath – Greetings y’all.  Warm and overcast here in Central Texas today, with a possibility of rain throughout the day.

The Last Pilgrims is going to make a splash.

So "why should I care?"  Michael Bunker is beating the drum for his new book, but a book is a book - isn't it?

For modern Amerikans, a book is a book.  A movie is a movie.  Entertainment is entertainment.  It's all about consumption.  You buy a book for a few bucks, read it, and throw it away.  You forget 90% of the book in a week, and 98% in a month.  Entertainment is like Cheetos or McDonalds, it is something fattening that is probably bad for you and that you can consume and forget about immediately.  Unhappily, this is not how it should be...

Art ought not to be consumable, you should remember it, and you should benefit from it.  But modern "publishing" is about consumption and not about quality or offering the reader something that could just change their life.

The Last Pilgrims is an entertaining book.  It is also the first book in an expansive saga.  But it is also a book that will absolutely benefit some people in an extraordinary way.  The first novel in the series can hardly be a proper representative of the whole saga, but each book is designed to be memorable, and to cause the reader to think about some critical things that they have accepted as maxims in life.  You should care about the book.  If you are an Agrarian, a Prepper, a Survivalist, a Christian - even if the book is not tacitly about ONLY these things - you should care to see a proper worldview examined and hard questions presented in an entertaining format.  If you are someone who has ever complained about what presents itself as "art" today, then you should care.  If you have ever complained about Hollywood, or don't believe that there are good books that you can give your children that will illustrate your ideals and philosophies, then you should care about The Last Pilgrims.

Another reason why you should care... because maybe once in a generation the little guy gets to shove it down "their" throats.  Which means that we should have the materials, the support, and even the dollars (Lord willing) to make it without the mainstream publishing system crushing or debasing it.  That doesn't mean that someday a mainstream publisher might not want to publish the book, it just means that when they do, they will take it on our terms.  We don't need them, and we can have a National Bestseller without them.

We need more than your moral support.  We need your help.  We have 7 more days in our fundraiser, and 21 more days until the Book Bomb.  We need an army of "Lasties" to help us.

1.  Visit our website every day for updates and instructions.  Post links to the website in forums, on blogs, on websites.
2.  Like us on Facebook.  But don't just like us.  SHARE our Facebook and website with others on Facebook.

4.  Help push us over $10,000 for advertising by donating.
5.  Ask your favorite bloggers, reviewers, website owners, etc. to review the book on their site.  Have them contact me:  editor (at) lazarusunbound (dot) com for a pre-release PDF of the book for review purposes.
6.  If YOU are a blogger, reviewer, or website owner, why not do a review of the book for your site?

You should care, because on February 24 there will be 100 books on the Bestsellers List.  Most of those will be written by and for reprobates and will become popular because mega-national corporations are spending thousands of dollars to make them popular and to corrupt the world.  Below you will find the top 10 books on Amazon as of this writing.  4 of the 10 are "the Hunger Games", which is basically in the same genre as The Last Pilgrims, only featuring atheism, androgyny, and some really whacked out psychological nonsense.  This is followed by a New Age/Atheistic book on Health and assorted other nuttiness.  You get the picture.  So, now just imagine  The Last Pilgrims sitting at #1 for a couple of days!

Your servant in Christ Jesus,

Michael Bunker

I agree. Most of the books on the present list are whacked out nonsense, with the exception of Gristly Wimpmans. Who wouldn't want to know how to "tame their alpha bitch" and be fierce AND! femine?
