The December Project
The December Project starts in about 16 days and we're getting prepared here. I hope you are considering some form of December Project for yourself and your family. If you are, please tell us about it in the comments section. If you plan on signing up for the DP snail mail list, then you need to get your request in.
We're still processing meat, building new raised beds, and working on the Mass Rocket Heater. I hope to post some pics of the new raised beds on thefacebook today, and hopefully here tomorrow.

We have been running a mini December project for the past 3 years. I've read your dissertations on christmas and associated trappings and it challenged me to separate ourselves from much of this carry-on. The first year, it was the Christmas tree and tinsel that went. And sending Christmas greeting cards. The second year, we boycotted our then local church annual Christmas community event. Last year, we had relocated out of the burbs to our 50 acres and we just had a fairly simple family gettogether meal.
This year, we have my brother's wedding on our property and our fifth child is due to be born in December. No santa claus in sight.
