Progress

10/13/2011 - 5th Day - Afternoon. Greetings y’all.  It's about time I paid a little attention to this blog, so this morning I did an overhaul.  I hope you like it.  Comment about it in the comments section below.  Now I made it easier to share posts on your favorite social media, and commenting should be easier too.  I also added a Youtube link on the left-hand side for videos I upload to Youtube.  I have been just uploading them to Facebook, but since a lot of you do not use Facebook, you can find relevant Bunker videos there.  You can now easily subscribe to my email list up in the right hand column at the top where it says "how to get added"  You can also "follow" this blog by scrolling down in the right-hand column and clicking "follow".

This picture is of the footer we are building for the small greenhouse.

I'll add more pics here on the blog as the greenhouse is assembled, but this is part of our overall garden enbiggenment project.  We are kicking things into HIGH gear to get the winter garden ready, garlic planted, etc.  With the recent rains, we have hope that perhaps a winter garden is possible.  All of our water-catchments and even my pond is completely full, so we should have water enough to have a good garden this winter.

The above pictures are of Sarah Grace Bunker and our Ajo Rojo seed garlic which will likely go into the ground tomorrow (DV).  We have another 9 lbs. of Spanish Roja coming in, along with however much of our own Bunkero Rojo we will have to plant.

Grass is starting to sprout a bit, and the 6 acres of wheat we planted is peeking through as well.  Be in prayer that we will get even more rain in the coming weeks.

We are also still working on the cottage.  Right now we are trying to get the master bedroom finished so the whole family can sleep in there if we get a really cold night.

I hope all is well with you, and that you enjoy the new blog setup.  I look forward to your comments.

Your servant in Christ Jesus,

Michael Bunker

Like the look, haven't tried to do too much yet so I'm not sure if it is easier or not, but I like the colors. :)

I'd like to know more about your greenhouse. :) It looks like cinder blocks on the bottom, what do you have running across the top of that? What do you plan to use for the sides and windows? We've looked at greenhouses several times, but want something sturdy and reusable and not too expensive! :)
Thanks!

I do like the layout and colors, especially the header but I am not fond of the tiled pic of you behind the whole thing. You have a typo in your "About Me" section, and your donation button is either not appearing or not working. The search worked great, so did the youtube video bar. Over all I like it, but I liked the old layout as well. What happened to the widget with the oil price, etc on it? It seems like something else is missing as well.

Thank y'all for commenting. I've updated and changed some more. The Donate button is now among the tabs at the top of the page. The donate button will bring up a donate blog post. We'll be posting more about the greenhouse soon.

Yes. New outline is nice except the background, to me. Too much Big Brother. Yes, you are a big brother cause you're, well, big, but you're not the Big Brother.

The new setup looks good. Unfortunately for me, I don't have a wide screen monitor so I have to scroll sideways to see everything. The winter garden projects ought to be very enjoyable after the summer that you endured!

I like the new look. The grain in the background is good-it looks more agrarian. I guess I missed the first version. I just saw the new page today. All the buttons seem to work and I like the link to you tube. Don't do anything with Facebook so I'm glad you are keeping this blog up to date too.

I like it, very navigable. That might be a new word. They didn't have a template w/ Longhorns wearing garlic wreathes? Ha ha, no, I do like that the template is no longer standard issue, the wheat makes it look bright & clean. Praying for your crop.

the pic of you with the cigar looks less than flattering

if I was a first time visitor that would really turn me off
