9/24/10 - 6th Day. Morning - Preparation of the Sabbath. Greetings y'all. Ranchfest is here! Today is arrival day here at the Ranch and we are all looking forward to meeting/seeing everyone. Kickoff breakfast is tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. and this ought to be our biggest kickoff breakfast yet for a Ranchfest. It looks like we are going to be working on the new cabin, putting in a ferro-cement cistern, butchering and smoking a hog, and doing some other projects around here. As you can see, we're still way behind on the fundraising, but we hope to at least get half of the projected amount before Ranchfest is over. That means we would need another $2,600 to only have failed by 50%!M. Bunker

Y'all stay tuned and be praying for a safe and productive Ranchfest.

Wish we were there! Hope that there is good fellowship, and lots of progress on projects for the week.

It's not so bad..
Hope y'all have a safe, educational, and productive Ranchfest. And if one chooses to look at the glass as 1/3 full instead of 2/3 empty this is one of the largest amounts that you have collected in a long time. My memory isn't too good so I could be wrong, but this seems like a pretty good amount compared to recent efforts.

He cried, "Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like My suffering that was inflicted on Me, that the Lord brought on Me in the day of His fierce anger?" Lamentations 1:12
O cold, calculating, heartless, preacher, you who pass by the crucified Christ--and take to your lips the meaningless, insignificant trifles of politics, social corruptions, moralisms, denominationalism, historical religion, creeds, and debates about nothing--it is you to whom the Master speaks!
Funny thing, Cathy, Lamentations 1:12 isn't Christ speaking, it is the personification of Jerusalem speaking, which in v18 is said to have rebelled against the commandment of the Lord. So you are really going to have problems with applying that to Christ. Who, by the way, isn't lying crucified, but rather ruling all things(including your life) till all of his enemies be brought under his feet. He needs neither my pity, nor yours.
