This is not a new picture of the smokehouse. A lot has been done since this pic. But I did want any new folks to see what I am talking about. I'll do my best to post some new pics either tomorrow or early next week. The smokehouse should be 95% done and usable by Ranchfest (Lord Willing).
Here is my latest Michael Bunker Radio Podcast. Do not miss it:
Peek in as Michael talks with the home fellowship in Santa Anna about the "dollar economy" and how it can endanger true Christian community.
As I said on Facebook (to very little avail), comments and discussion on the podcasts prime the pump for more podcasts. When they float like a dead balloon, they make me want to discontinue them again. All power is in your hands.
I am your servant in Christ Jesus,
Michael Bunker

I really appreciated your referencing the problems that this mindset is causing for the Amish. A friend and I were just discussing the same thing as it pertains to the Amish and Mennonite communities. We absolutely should look to the problems and experiences of others and learn from them.
It is interesting, and frightening, so see how subtle the devices of the enemy are, and how easily something that appears "good" or beneficial is actually a snare.
Thanks for this.
Hey bro,
hope all is going well on your short trip! That was a great/timely podcast message, it was a privilege to hear it live.

Thanks Michael for making this truth known so that we can mindful of the devices that the god of this world uses to ensnare us.

Hi Michael,
Glad to see you back on BA with a podcast. Does this mean you got your solar batteries replaced? I don't do the facebook thing so I probably miss some good teaching/comments. Thanks for this latest effort at re-education. I'll check out Robert Flemming.

Really enjoyed learning how important it is for us to learn the good, bad and the ugly is concerning our handling of money and the community. I look forward to not having to leave the community to work some day soon. Lord willing! I was wondering if we could have a teaching on using gifts that God has given us to help the community. And how to know what that gift is. I have heard it taught in a apostate church but I am sure it serves self more that others in their case. Debylin
I really enjoyed this particular podcast for several reasons. 1) It's helpful to hear about the nuts and bolts of Christian community from those who are living it, 2) It confirmed and provided some clarification for what I had already long believed as far as using every worldly dollar earned to further the self-sufficiency of the family homestead. And 3) It provided food for thought on both the desirability of community and how Godly principles might be applied by those of us out here alone. I'm definitely forwarding this one to David in Afghanistan.
