6/11/10 - 6th Day - Morning. Preparation of the Sabbath. Greetings y'all. I know the lens on my Pre is a bit cloudy, but I keep forgetting to clean it. Anyway, the above picture is of the "stragglers" from our garlic and onion harvest. These are the small but potent garlics and onions that weren't big enough to store or save for future seed. I haven't decide what to do with all of this, but we'll probably use it when we make salsa and sauces this summer. The fruit trees are all doing well. Our peaches are coming along nicely:
Tracy has been working very hard on our garden, even though our "trash" pump went out and is at the shop. This means everything has to be watered by hand with water hauled up from the back pond. Especially since we have had no rain in a week, and we need some very much.
We are re-working all of the garlic beds for a summer crop or for soil improvement. The first bed on the far left there has been planted in collard greens from seed we saved. The second bed in view has been planted in beans as a soil improver and nitrogen fixer. The third bed will likely be planted in Turnips...
Here is a picture of our newest heifer calf. We named her Ana. That is her momma Luciana, who is the offspring of Lucia. Ana's sire is Toreo. She was born a week or so ago.
This next picture is of our little bull Joselito who is with his momma Cholula. Joselito is a good looking little bull, with a black tip to his tail. I look forward to watching Joselito grow up. I hope he is half the bull Chico is... and by the way... I just learned today that Chico made it up to his new home in Virginia! The new owner is very, very pleased, and Chico will be a superstar up there. Go Chico!
I just got my first response from my Craigslist ad looking for a grain silo, and a man has told me that he has an old one he will give us if we can come get it. I hope to have it to our place by early next week. As always, Praise God for His bounty and for His mercy and longsuffering towards us.The Pope is very sorry that his priests have been caught being serial homosexual child molesters. He is sorry that this revelation ruined what should have been a good year for the priests. He wants to be more diligent in "protecting priests" from the dangers of small children! I kid you not... The Pope believes that, having found out that no child is ever safe around a Catholic priest, it is the priest that needs to be protected:
"we will do everything we can to weigh the authenticity of their vocation and make every effort to accompany priests along their journey, so that the Lord will protect them and watch over them in troubled situations and amid life's dangers."
A Spanish priest concurs with the Pope... the Priests have suffered enough:
"We have all suffered during the year of the priests" because of the scandal, he said. "It was good for the pope to show also the positive aspects - gratitude for the gift."
When I was in the grocery store this week, I got a peak at the new Time magazine cover:
Enough said.I remain your servant in Christ Jesus,

You will have to take some pictures of the silo move, that should be an interesting process. Lord willing, nobody gets hurt.
It boggles the mind that people continue to submit themselves to that evil system, the Catholic "church". Pity the priests indeed. The congregations should show up one Sunday with stones and do a replay of Achan on their priests. It would be the first Biblically motivated act to happen in that church in a long time. I am glad that I am not in charge.

Congrats on the silo MB! If you need help moving it, let me know.

Maybe you should have opened the magazine and read the article?
Just a suggestion.
BTW... if it were not for the Catholic Faith there would be no Christians. Just a thought... you may want to look up the history of christianity if you don't understand what I mean.
Wendy,
Open a book some day and study (the Bible preferably, but some history books too). They were called "Christians" first at Antioch - I suppose in your gorilla history method the Pope had something to do with that? We know there were no Catholics then because if there were, Antioch would have been known for the massive pedophilia going on there.
I have written a bit on the subject of the catholic "church":

Also, study the true history of Christianity and you will find that the Antichrist papacy has had an important, though malevolent, role - but hardly is the creator or birthplace of Christianity.
Now go away.
Michael
