Just in case that little link/image magic didn't work, here is another try:
Anywho...
Don't forget the two things I want you not to forget:
Those will be in your face until our funds are raised. We need a hero.
We went up to Cottonwood again yesterday, as a group, to pick blackberries. We had about 15 people who went and we had a good time. My family picked 27 lbs. and then we all had a picnic there on the farm. Then I took Danielle and the children to the farmer's market in Cross Plains to look around, and then we headed home. By this time it was every bit of 98 degrees outside, so we worked for about 2 hours outside, then we decided to drive over to Lake Brownwood for a swim. It is the first time for us to go swimming at a lake this year, but it was plenty hot, so it was a good time. All-in-all, we had a very good day.
Today, the prognosticators are giving us a very small probability of rain, but it is the first probability since June began, and our crops are absolutely shriveling up out there, so we ask for you to pray that we will get some rain tonight. Right now. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Thank you.
I am hoping to work on a podcast today. I have a lot of 'splainin' to do, apparently.
In case you missed it, Fall Ranchfest is planned for September 24 to October 1. Let us know if you plan on being here.
I was planning on putting some pictures up, but it ain't happenin'. Y'all be cool and stay cool,
Your servant in Christ Jesus,

What does the U-pick there charge for blackberries? I wonder if growing those for roadside sales or farmers' markets would be a viable side-income. Between that and the garlic...
BTW, did it rain yet? We are super dry here as well. I'll pray for yall, you pray for us. Thanks.

Ryan, the PYO blackberries are $1.75/lb. up in Cottonwood. I think it is a brilliant idea, and I have every intention, if the Lord wills, of adding blackberries to our plan. No real rain yet. We got a barely measurable amount on Thursday night. Last night it rained everywhere but on our place. There is rain in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, and Lord willing we will get some. It could save our crop. Will do on the prayer.
