could the collapse of the world systems lead to the reemergence of Rome in all it's former power, the total restoration of the beast from it's fatal wound? maybe the financially loaded Vatican with it's religious "answers" would be just what destitute, hopeless people would flock to? curious what you think.

actually, disregard my former comment.... after reading around a little more, i think Rome already has it's former power, just in a "man behind the curtain" sense.
